At State Bank, the safety and security of your personal sensitive information is our top priority. To protect our customers, we will NEVER ask for personal information (Social Security Number, Account Numbers, Debit/ATM card numbers, Online ID or PIN/Passwords, etc.) through email. If you receive an email claiming to be from us asking for such information, do NOT respond and please call us at 417-882-1400 to report it.

Learn more about the safeguards we have in place and explore ways you can better protect yourself from scams and fraud.

Digital Banking Two-factor authentication (2FA)
To mitigate the threat of guessed or stolen digital banking credentials, we utilize 2FA for a couple scenarios:
  • It is the first time you're accessing digital banking
  • You are accessing digital banking from a new device

Digital Banking Browser Session Timeout
For your security, online banking browser sessions time out after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Debit Card Fraud
We understand debit card fraud can be alarming and frustrating. We have systems in place to review card transactions and identify signs of fraud. If a transaction appears suspicious, we may:

  • Attempt to verify the suspicious activity by contacting the cardholder via telephone call
  • Temporarily suspend the card or block certain transactions
  • Monitor the card on a 'fraud watch' list
If you plan to travel, please notify us in advance so we know when to expect transactions outside of your normal usage.
